The Sydney Alliance is a diverse coalition of community organisations, religious organisations, unions and schools that uses the tools of community organising to make the city a better place to live.
The Sydney Alliance Northern Sydney Assembly was held in Chatswood, Sydney on the 30th October, 2014. They met to tackle 4 main issues: Affordable Housing, Refugee Concession Cards, Palliative Care and last but not least, Lymphoedema Public Services. There was a good turn out of more than 200 people, and The Lymphoedema Support Group NSW Upper North Shore Branch stood out in their green ‘Lymphomaniacs’ T-shirts! The Lymphoedema Support Group NSW worked closely with members of the Cancer Action Network Northern Suburbs and the NSW Nurses and Midwives Association.
